5 Strategies for Building a Successful Superclub Squad

Are you looking to take your Superclub skills to the next level? These five strategies could give you the edge you need to succeed. To experienced players, some of the tips may be obvious, but read on nevertheless. You never know when you might learn something.

1. Full squad

In the early game, it’s usually a good idea to sign most players you can get your hands on. Even a 1-star who’ll never feature in your first eleven will move your squad token up the table, and you can always sell them later.

2. Midfield flex

Midfielders are mini utility players, being able to play both attack and defense with a tiny ability loss. They give you as a manager great flexibility when choosing your formation.

3. Take note

Write down the main strengths of your opponents on a piece of paper (or in our Field notes). Especially fixed things like Key staff adding stars to a given third, amazing chemistry combinations that the manager will be reluctant to break in order to surprise you. Anything that can help you predict the lineup is gold!

4. Spend wisely

Many a Superclub game has been won or lost by a Deadline Day where one player has all the funds – and fun. It could be a good idea to save at least some money for the end of the off-season. If not enough to actually buy the player you want, then at least enough to drive up the price for your opponent.

5. Early Key staff

It’s often tempting to develop training, scouting and stadium to level 2 or 3 before even considering spending an investment action on Key staff. But there are Key staff members that can really change your game, that you can build a team around. You’re not guaranteed to get them, of course, but it could be worth the risk. If you end up not hiring anyone, the worst case scenario is that you’ll save money for Deadline Day.

Put These Strategies into Action and Dominate the Board

By implementing these five strategies, you’ll be well on your way to building a successful Superclub. But there is so much more to the game than five simple tips can cover, so make sure to play as many games as you can. Nothing beats experience! Good luck.
